  1. *COLOR Color Install 
  2. >MAIN
  3.  
  4.   The Color Installation program is designed to let you select colors 
  5.   for your MediSoft (or PractiSoft) program, from a color grid of 128 
  6.   different color combinations. If your computer is equipped with 
  7.   EGA/VGA adapters and monitor the color grid is expanded to include 
  8.   bright colors, a total of 512 different colors. At the bottom of the
  9.   screen is the function key help line. While at the Color Selection 
  10.   Menu you have the choice of ESC to Exit Color, F1 for on-line help, 
  11.   F2 for About Color Install, F3 to save the current colors to file and 
  12.   F4 to Restore All Default colors.  
  13.  
  14.   Note:  If you select F4 Restore All Defaults, any color changes you 
  15.   have made will be lost.  To save your color selections, you must press 
  16.   F3 Save, NOT F4 Restore All Defaults.

  19.   To select an option, press the letter by the option title or use the
  20.   arrow keys to highlight the option and press the  "┘ Enter" key.

  22. >1 (A) Main Windows 
  23.   
  24.                   O P T I O N   I N F O R M A T I O N

  26.   Main Windows: includes the colors for the majority of your basic 
  27.   screens.  This option allow you to set up your own data color, border
  28.   color, title color, hilite bar color, bold color and data edit color 
  29.   for most of the information and report options.     
  30. >2 (B) Menu  
  31.  
  32.   Menu:  includes the colors for both the main menu and submenu of 
  33.   the Operations Menu screen within MediSoft (or PractiSoft).  You may 
  34.   change the menu box color, the menu title color, menu border color, and
  35.   the menu option highlight color.

  37. >3 (C) Popup Window            
  38.  
  39.   Popup Window: windows that pop over into another menu selection are 
  40.   considered popup windows.  For example, if you are in entry operations 
  41.   and you add a new procedure by pressing the F8 function key, the input 
  42.   screen for a new procedure code pops up over the existing transaction 
  43.   entry screen.  You may change the main popup screen color, the data 
  44.   color within the popup window, the border color surrounding the popup 
  45.   screen, and the popup title at the top of the popup window. 
  46. >4 (D) Function Key Line   
  47.  
  48.   Function Key Line: this line is located at the bottom of most input 
  49.   screens.  You may change the main color of the function key line, the 
  50.   hilite color that usually indicates the function key, and the toggle 
  51.   key found in the far right of the function key line.

  53. >5 (E) Message Box

  55.   Message Box: message boxes are usually messages which require a 
  56.   response.  You may change the main screen color of the message box. 
  57. >6 (F) Search Window      
  58.  
  59.   Search Window: search windows in MediSoft (or in PractiSoft) are 
  60.   activated by pressing the F6 key.  You may change the main screen 
  61.   color of the search window, the border color surrounding the search 
  62.   window, the title color bar at the top of the search window, the 
  63.   hilite bar used to select from the search window list, and the bold 
  64.   text at the bottom of the search window.

  66. >7 (G) Popup Ledger        
  67.  
  68.   Popup Ledger: the popup (F7) ledger includes transaction detail.  To 
  69.   distinguish the various segments of the ledger, the right colors 
  70.   enhance this window.  You may change the main ledger window color, the 
  71.   border color, the title color, the hilite bar, the heading, line one 
  72.   and line two of the transaction detail that is displayed. This 
  73.   ledger window is first featured in MediSoft Advanced version 4.0 and in
  74.   PractiSoft version 3.0. 
  75. >8 (H) Printer Selection   
  76.  
  77.   Printer Selection: you may change the main color of the printer 
  78.   selection window, the border, the title, and the hilite bar.

  80. >9 (I) Error Window

  82.   Error Window: you may change the main color of the error window, the 
  83.   title and the window border color.
  84. >10 (J) Help/Flying Help/About

  86.   Help/Flying Help/About: help is the F1 general help; flying help is 
  87.   the field sensitive help and the about box the copyright information 
  88.   regarding Color Install.  You may change the main color window, the 
  89.   border, the title, and bold text.

  91. >11 (K) Miscellaneous Windows
  92.  
  93.   Miscellaneous Windows: the Credit Card input and Source of Payment are 
  94.   classified as miscellaneous windows. You may change the main window 
  95.   color, the border color, the title color, the data color and the 
  96.   hilite bar color. 
  97. >12 (L) Apply Payment Window 
  98.  
  99.   Apply Payment Window: the apply payment window is located in the 
  100.   Payment/Deposit option of Entry Operations.  You may change the main 
  101.   color of the window, the data within the window, the title and the 
  102.   payment window border.

  104. >13 (M) Payment Worksheet Window
  105.  
  106.   Payment Worksheet Window: the payment worksheet window is located in 
  107.   the Payment/Deposit option of Entry Operations.  You may change the 
  108.   main color of the window, the data within the window, the title, the
  109.   payment window border and the bold text.

  111. >14 (X) Exit Color Install

  113.   To exit Color Install simply highlight option X and press the 
  114.   "┘ Enter" key, or hit the "ESC" key.

  116. *SUBMENU Sub-Menu Selection
  117. >MAIN
  118.                           S U B - O P T I O N S

  120.   After you have made a selection from the Color Selection Menu, the 
  121.   submenu box is hilited and a hilite bar appears on the first submenu 
  122.   option. A sample of the possible screen color changes that may be made,
  123.   displays just below the submenu options. The function key help line 
  124.   has also changed. Your choices are ESC to Return to Menu, F1 for 
  125.   on-line help, F2 for About Color Install, F3 to save the current colors
  126.   to file and F4 to Restore Defaults.

  128.   Note:  The F4 Restore Defaults, only restores the default color values 
  129.   for the selections available for this menu option, this sample screen.

  132.   To select one of the submenu options, press the number by the option 
  133.   title or use the arrow keys to highlight the option and press the  
  134.   "┘ Enter" key.
  135.   To exit the Sub-Menu Selection simply highlight "Return to Main Menu"
  136.   and press the "┘ Enter" key, or hit the "ESC" key.

  138.   You are now in the color grid.

  141. *CHANGE Change Color Selections 
  142. >MAIN

  144.   The  symbol indicates which color is currently being assigned to the
  145.   selected option.  The small color bar and number at the top of the 
  146.   color grid displays the current color's attribute and its ASCII value. 
  147.  
  148.   You may change colors by using the up and down or left and right arrow 
  149.   keys.  As you move around in the color grid, the  symbol designates
  150.   your current color attribute. The selected option in the Sample Screen
  151.   changes to the new color, as does the attribute and ASCII value in the
  152.   upper right hand corner of the Change Color Selections box.

  155.   Once you have found the color you wish to assign to the selected 
  156.   option, press the "┘ Enter" key to set the color attribute. The new
  157.   color attribute is NOT saved until you have either pressed F3 Save
  158.   here at the submenu, or have pressed F3 Save at the Color Selection 
  159.   menu.
